Mijas, Spain. April 2014.
Mijas is one of Spain’s “white” towns–you know, supposedly like those white tumbles of cute houses in Greece? I mean, it did have some charms, but I was again more than slightly disappointed. The cute donkey taxis almost made me forget that disappointment, but not enough. It seemed to be the trend of the trip that I was being routinely underwhelmed by Spain. Or maybe it’s a case of too much marketing promise, not enough delivery?
